Eric and Jane Mims live in Victoria, Texas, where they are both on staff at the University of Houston-Victoria.

Micheal and Vicki Mercer live in Bryan, Texas, where Micheal works as a precision machinist and Vicki manages Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Isabella Grace Mercer was born on December 7, 2004. Lilly Sophia Mercer was born on June 26, 2008.

Sarah Mims followed the tradition set by her brother Eric and her sister Vicki by conducting very high quality science fair projects while in high school. Like Eric and Vicki, she has earned numerous science fair awards, including First Place, Texas Junior Academy of Science (2002 and 2003).

Forrest M. Mims Jr. and Ollieve E. Mims

Ollieve E. Mims (1924-1995) was a homemaker, seamstress, gardener and Sunday School teacher. For 52 years she was married to my father, Forrest M. Mims Jr. (1923–1996), a graduate of Texas A&M University who served 34 years as a command pilot and civil engineer in the United States Air Force. During and following his military service, he was an architect, home builder, artist, illustrator, photographer, inventor, gardener and avid outdoorsman. He designed various churches in his spare time, while also serving as project officer for the Cadet Chapel of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Following his retirement from military service with the rank of colonel, he taught solar energy and home construction at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
